His first producer, Aditya Chopra, called her "actress not very beautiful" when she came to an audition with her first film, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
She came to Mumbai with her friend named Zoheb, who also tried to capture opportunities as a role model. He could not do his career because of the lack of offers and returned to his native country, after they lost their relationship due to the long distance that separated them.

In December 2014 she sold Jab Tak Hai Jaan's jack on eBay to raise funds for the Kashmir and Assam flood states. Anushka met her cricket star, Virat Kohli, in a business shampoo, in which Virat was hypnotized by her and began dating.
Soon, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma would live together in their home in Mumbai. She was non-vegetarian, but in 2015 she became vegetarian. That same year she won the "India's Fresh Vegetable Prize" with actor Aamir Khan.
